2013 is a very exciting year. It marks the 75th Anniversary of Norfolk Botanical Garden - the only surviving Works Progress Administration (WPA) botanical garden in the US. To celebrate the Garden's unique and rich history, they will be hosting a variety of events and activities all year long. But before the party could begin, some work had to be done.
Visual Harbor first began working with Norfolk Botanical Garden (NBG) back in spring of 2012 to completely redesign their website from scratch. The new website was successfully launched in October 2012 (www.norfolkbotanicalgarden.org) using the WordPress platform, and completely reworked so that it could be mobile- and tablet-friendly, easier to use, and allow the client to make updates on a daily basis. One of the primary elements of the new website is the ability to register for events and activities online -- which in turn increases visitation to the Garden.
After the website was launched, NBG was seeking an advertising firm to help them design, write, and oversee the production of advertising and marketing materials for their 75th Anniversary. That's when Visual Harbor stepped up to the challenge.
To create a successful campaign, we worked closely with NBG, listening to their needs and vision. Together, we created a cohesive strategy and unified branding message, along with a suite of marketing materials to match. Just some of things included in our Master Plan are listed below.
Below is a sampling of the 75th Anniversary marketing materials.
